Initially released for the Super Famicom in December 1995, it was later ported to a number of other platforms, including a Japan-exclusive version for the PlayStation in December 1998 and a Game Boy Advance version published by Namco in Japan in August 2003 and later published by Nintendo in North America and Europe in March 2006, which marked the first time the game was officially available in English.

The game is free to download, with in-game boosts you can buy with real money. The problem is Namco has completely redesigned what was a great game in the hope that it can Candy-Crush people into paying more for it. This is only the second time English audiences have been able to play it, so that's nice. The good news is Namco Bandai's classic Super Nintendo role-playing game is finally available on the iPhone.
